Have
you ever asked yourself or even think about the things that could be made possible?
Did you wonder of remaking television series of your own version from another.
I
even don’t have the like to imagine those things when “boom” a Korean drama has
a Filipino version, it was like “ahhhh.” I can’t imagine how would these things
happen and can local entertainment do a great work of remaking a Korean drama?
I
am planning to have the list of the Korean dramas that local entertainment remade
and what are the feedback of their work to the mass. Is it a bestseller? Or nothing?
According to the article entitled Korean Dramas Remade in Philippines, I have read. When a Korean drama was shown in
Philippine primetime, it was dubbed by the Filipino language. And the Filipino
viewers fell in love with the genre of that drama. It made the Korean drama so
popular in the Philippines.
After
that series have been aired, the local channel that made it possible to watch
by Filipino viewers, decided to buy the rights to have a remade drama of its
own version of SBS, the Korean entertainment company.
Lovers in Paris
It was remade by ABS-CBN
of Korean drama here in the Philippines. It was played by the two Filipino
actors of local entertainment. It became a hit to the mass and break the higher
ratings record of a Korean drama entitled “Dae Jang Geum.”
It was liked by many, and
because of the success of this remade drama, the local sponsor has come to the
idea to create other remade drama to be shown in prime time.
My Girl
It was a popular Korean
drama that remade here in the Philippines. It also became hit to the mass,
instantly. The actors who played the roles was the hottest love team in the
country.
Still, the network’s
producers are trying to inject some Korean flavor in to the Philippinize drama,
to their choice they hire a Korea stylist to add some “Korean look” for the
Filipino actors and actresses.
My Name is Kim Sam Soon
Is entitled to “Ako si Kim
Sam Soon” in Filipino Version. It was aired by GMA, this Korean drama is an
award winning and popular in Korean that originally aired on MTCB on 2005.
The roles were played by Filipino
actors and actresses, also. It is also becoming popular here in the Philippines.
Yes! I love watching
Korean drama, an original Korean drama dubbed in Filipino language or not. But
I don’t see myself watching a remade Korean drama into Filipino version. Why? Simply because, for me...the original Korean drama was still the best, and there is no
adding or changing story plot.
But for others, it is okay
to have a remade drama from Korea, because they say they could easily get who
are the antagonist and the protagonist, because the actor and actresses who
playing the role are well known here in the Philippines. And they won’t get so
confused.
So
from these short information, the work of our own Philippine entertainment had
become bestseller to our fellowmen watchers of prime time.
